Aaron Embry

Born outside of Chicago Illinois, Aaron and his family quickly moved to south-central Pennsylvania when he was very young. He grew up in York, before moving to Lancaster PA to begin his undergraduate studies at Millersville University where he earned a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. During his time at Millersville, Aaron enjoyed hosting events with his Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity brothers and starting his career in the sciences at Eurofin’s Lancaster Labs. Aaron then moved to Texas and joined the Orchard Lab at UT Southwestern Medical Center, before transitioning to a Graduate Student in the Gammon and Alto labs where he earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology. 

Outside of the lab, Aaron enjoys spending time with his significant other Nina, walking their two Australian shepherds (Huckleberry and Poppyseed), watching hockey, and gaming. Having been in Dallas now for a few years, Aaron has explored most of the craft-brewing scene, and enjoys partnering with lab mates and co-workers to attempt to bring home the gold at different trivia nights.
